We’re looking for actors, comedians, entertainers, historians, artists, writers, native Angelenos, and, of course, lovers of food. This is a great job for someone who is in graduate school, has weekend availability, and/or holds another part-time position working primarily evening hours.

Duties
- Lead lively and informative food tours, guiding groups through various culinary and historic stops with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Foster a welcoming environment by demonstrating excellent customer service and communication skills
- Share detailed stories about local cuisine, history, and culture to enrich guests’ experience
- Ensure guest safety and comfort throughout the tour by managing group dynamics, food allergies, and dietary requirements, and addressing questions or concerns
- Manage timing, route adjustments, and restaurant interactions to ensure a seamless experience
Requirements
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work both weekdays and weekends, be on-call with 24 hours’ notice, and be available for 3-hour tours with start times ranging from 11 AM to 1 PM
- BA or MA in the humanities strongly preferred
- Previous experience in guiding tours, hospitality, or customer service roles preferred
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to captivate audiences of all sizes
- Excellent communication and memorization skills to clearly and accurately convey stories, instructions, and safety information
- Proven time management skills to balance tour schedules efficiently
- Teaching or educational experience is a plus for sharing knowledge engagingly
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities highly desirable to connect with a broader range of guests
